What are the things you always thought you would do if you were ever given the time? Meditate, get fit, lose weight, write that book, or screenplay. Spirit once told me - I was asking for more time for what I wanted to accomplish - "Time and money how you spend it is the same habit no matter how much you have".
The 2020 lockdown came with many challenges but also offered fresh opportunities for us. This extra time spent at home can be terribly frustrating or fulfilling - it depends on us. It is difficult to stay motivated while stuck at home, but if you don't want to look back with regrets, spend your time wisely during the lockdown.
Now is more important than ever to keep yourself fit. You will feel so much better after a few minutes of workout. It will boost your mood and help you stay healthy. Whether you want to follow online workout videos, have a run around your home, do some yoga or dance, your daily fitness routine will help you stay motivated. Try out different types of workouts and find what really works for you.
It's known that gardening has many benefits for our health and overall well-being. If you have an outdoor space you can spruce it up during lockdown. You are not lucky enough to own a garden? There are plenty of herbs, flowers, and vegetables that you can pot and nurture inside your house on your balcony. Writing can have therapeutic effects and can also help to stay motivated. The idea of writing a book can be intimidating, so start with a journal, brief notes about your day, lists about your goals, write bedtime stories for your children, write down anything that comes in your mind. You can also use this time to start writing a blog, to have an online space where you can share your thoughts, ideas, and passions. You'll be surprised by how inspired and creative you can get. Attend online creative writing classes.
Lockdown can be a great time to work on your growth. We are here in life to learn and grow. There are times of struggle in our lives when we have to try harder to find joy and fulfillment. With a bit of knowledge and a bit more practice we can use the lockdown as a valuable divine gift for our growth. It is easier than you think.
There are a few simple methods you can use to transform yourself. Start with introspection.
Ask yourself some essential questions:
Your transformation brings transformation into the world. This is the only way to do it.
As the great spiritual leader Mahatma Gandhi said: "Be the change that you wish to see in the world."
My dear friend, make the first steps of your spiritual adventure today.
