When did you last touch a tree trunk, walked barefoot on the morning dew, or sit on the grass under an old tree? When did you admire the way the sun rays fall through the leaves or listened to the birds singing around you?
Our hectic lifestyle can have a significant negative impact on our health and overall wellbeing. If you're looking to escape the hustle of city life for a while, why not go for a tree bathing?
I recommend you leave your phone at home, in the car, or turn it off, so you can slow down and focus on your surroundings. Take the time to immerse yourself in the natural world around you; I can assure you, this experience will be a delight for all of your senses.
The best periods for tree baths are the early mornings, but you can experience them whenever you want. A slow walk in the park or in the forest can make wonders. Just be present, be with the trees. Whether you sit or walk, the point is to relax and enjoy.
Close your eyes, focus your attention on your breathing; it is a great way to relax, clear your mind, and ground yourself, so you can focus on what's around you. The air in the forest does not just have a higher oxygen concentration; it's also full of energy-boosting phytoncides.
Bring your awareness back to the trees. Feel them pulsing in their gentle rhythm. Admiring the flashes of sunlight between the leaves will help you be more present. Stay as long as you feel comfortable. Two hours are recommended for the best results, but even 15 minutes in nature will make you feel fresh and regenerated. Reconnecting with nature can ease the symptoms of severe health issues. Time spent in nature soothes the emotions too; reduces depression, induces a sense of peace and serenity.
My dear, are you ready to hug trees and shake off the stress?
Solid and harmonious relationships can make a big difference in our lives. The good feelings we experience in the company of our loved ones make us feel supported, happier, and more relaxed.
Our affection increases when we spend quality time together with the ones we love.
I love to invite my loved ones in nature; for hiking, walking, tree bathing, or just sitting quietly together, enjoying the breathtaking beauty of a sunrise. One of the best things about nature bathing is that we can experience it with others. Spending quality time with your spouse, kids, or with a friend in a gorgeous natural setting is fabulous!
I've noticed that nature has its way of bringing people closer together. Whenever you have relationship issues with someone, invite that person for a walk in nature. Spending time in nature is an excellent way to bond because increases the oxytocin level. Oxytocin is known as the hormone of closeness and it is associated with love, cuddling, trust, empathy, and relationship-building. So, whether you have a weekend plan for your family or enjoy hanging out with your friends on the beach, the more time you spend together in nature, the stronger your bond will probably become.
Over the years Spirit helped me understand that nature is a sacred place where we can connect with our souls. Mother Nature it has a magic balm that can heal our emotional wounds. Time spent in nature will refresh and regenerate your relationships. We can be true to ourselves in nature, let all our guards down, and connect with others on a more profound level. We feel easier to release old relational patterns and let in new inspiration and guidance.
I hope this blog has motivated you to consider implementing nature baths and walks in nature with your loved ones.
