My dear friend, do you really know yourself? If I ask you now, who you truly are, could you answer without hesitation? We learn many things that society wants us to know. Most of the time we act and react as our families or other people expect. It's so easy to get caught up in people's projections.
We pay an enormous price for neglecting self-knowledge - we lose touch with our values, needs, our hearts' desires and ultimately we lose the connection with ourselves. We lose touch with our true nature. When you don't know yourself, it's difficult to find your life path, the one that makes you feel happy and fulfilled. You end up having jobs that don't really suit you and getting into relationships that don't fulfill you. We spend the days of our lives thinking, analyzing, labeling and reacting. For most people, self-knowledge or self-awareness is not a priority.
Knowing yourself requires understanding your strengths, qualities, weaknesses. If you want to be successful in life, you've got to go inward and start developing self-awareness. You might think now, yeah, it's easy to say, but where do I start?
Reflect on who you are and what is the meaning of your existence. There are various methods that can help, such as yoga techniques and meditation.
Start with anything that will allow you to grow spiritually:
Once you learn to be aware of your thoughts, emotions, and reactions, you will transform your life and create the present that you desire. To develop self-knowing is a process and requires perseverance and conscious work that will bring transformation in every aspect of your life. The 2020 lockdown gave us more time for self-reflection. Now it is time to get to know yourself. Dear friends, I encourage you to adopt a daily habit of self-reflection.
